A Metamorphosis Story - El
Both being naturally big, my boyfriend Karl and I decided that it was time for us to make some lifestyle changes to better our health and to lose weight. Weight is something I have always struggled with, even since a young age.
When I was seventeen I weighed in at 72 kilos and I was always yo yo dieting and had very noticeable fluctuations in weight. I was excited to get started with Josh as my trainer and my boyfriend there to take the journey with me.
During training Josh pushed Karl and I to our physical and mental limits, making sure that we reached our highest potential each and every training session, which sometimes was so painful (ha-ha) but so worth it! Josh encouraged us to make drastic changes to our diet too, and following his eating plan for us, we started enjoying our healthy lifestyle.
We found that we had much more energy and we were generally happier. I felt more confident knowing I was doing something about my weight and after each training session, I felt a deep sense of accomplishment and pride, I was becoming the person I wanted to be.
We did a fitness test before we started our program, where we noted down our times for laps and how many push-ups (etc) we could do in a set period of time. At the end of the program we took the same tests and I was amazed to see my own personal improvement, and Karl’s too. We had dramatically improved, we could double and in some things, even triple what we could do when we first started.
After the Metamorphosis Boot camp program, Karl had lost 6 kilos, and looked fitter, slimmer and might I say finer (ha-ha) than I had ever seen him since dating. I also weighed in less than I ever have in the past, I’d say 4 years, 63 kilos.
Taking everything that Josh has taught Karl and I about diet and exercise, Karl and I tried to continue with our new lifestyle. I am still enjoying the compliments about my weight loss and have gained much more self confidence. I would especially like to thank Josh and Anna for believing and investing so much into Karl and myself. If it wasn’t for the support, motivation and determination to see us succeed, that Josh had, I wouldn’t have been able to do it myself.

Choose your own adventure
Daily we are faced with choices. Some that will change our lives, some that may make little difference to our lives, or our day.
I remember growing up reading a series of books that allow you to “choose your own adventure”. After reading one chapter, you are faced with two options and both options will take you to two very different places and therefore two very different endings to the story. I loved those books.
I feel that today, we are faced to ‘choose our own adventure’ on a daily basis that will cause us to experience various consequences from our choices.
In regards to health and fitness, the choices are simple.

BURGER (849 calories) V’S TUNA WRAP (498 calories)

Dairy Milk chocolate- 1 bar (266 calories) V’S Blueberries- 1/2 cup (39 calories)

Slice of Margarita Pizza (174 calories ) V’S Bruschetta (66 calories)

Or are the choices simple when our stomachs yearn for the greasier, cheesier and more filling (or so we think) option?
To many of us, the options on the left hand side are what we would choose without a second thought. However, those choices lead to a thicker waistline, clogged arteries, less alertness, depression and the list goes on. Often times, the less healthy alternative can be the most popular, especially with all the reality TV shows focused on cooking and beautifully presented foods. Trust me, I enjoy watching those shows also.
Making the right choices comes from being educated and having the knowledge and tools available to help us along the way. Metamorphosis Personal training want you to choose your own adventure to a better you.
This month, on March 31, Metamorphosis Personal Training, here in Blacktown is holding a Nutrition seminar with dietician Kate Deppeler.

We recently had our fitness test with our Glendenning Boot campers and they achieved AMAZING results. The test takes place every four weeks and the goal is to improve on your last test results, either to run faster, complete more push ups/sit ups in 2 minutes etc.
I’m amazed at the results these guys achieved, but not surprised as they put 100% in every training session.

How much do you want it?
I love January. Everyone has that new year’s resolution to lose weight, to quit smoking, to live healthier, to love more, to spend less and no matter what it is, we really do want people to finish strong. As you know, the Metamorphosis Personal Training motto is “It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish”.We love shows like “The Biggest Loser” because it shows just what it takes to reach your goals. It’s a complete transformation of not only a person’s physical appearance, but we see the journey of each contestant getting their confidence, self esteem and regain what has been lost in their lives.
This year, we are introducing the Metamorphosis 12 week challenge. It will involve all participants to stick to the Metamorphosis program of training hard and eating well. We love seeing transformation in the lives around us, that’s why we want to help you reach your goals and see you finish strong every time, and living life to its fullest!!
It will start in March and open to those already in Boot camp - so REGISTER NOW with us by commenting here or emailing us at metamorphosisptsydney@gmail.com.
Here’s another quote we found to spur us one:
“
While most are dreaming of success, winners wake-up and work hard to achieve it.”

A Metamorphosis Story - Jenna
Before I started having personal training sessions with Josh, I was overweight, I felt depressed, I had a lot of self esteem issues, I was always tired, had no energy and was basically staying at home, feeling sorry for myself, getting upset due to the insecurities I had with my body being overweight and all.
I knew I had to change my lifestyle as this was affecting my relationship with friends and family, when I found out josh was a personal trainer I jump at the chance for a fresh start, with my wedding getting closer, and not seeing results from going to the gym from the last 6 months I knew I had to do something different.
I am amazed on what my body can achieve, There are times when you feel you can’t do something or you just feel plain tired, it is at this point that it is extremely important to have your personal trainer to encourage you to keep going, to keep you on track and most importantly to keep you accountable, Without this kind of support from Josh, it is just too easy to just give up or say you will do it another time - and you will probably find you would not have done this.
So far I have lost 10 kilo’s thanks to metamorphosis personal training by exercising and changing a lot of my bad eating habits.
I have never felt better, I am getting fit, more energetic, and I have a lot more confidence in myself as well as enjoying my new lifestyle.
Josh encourages you without being intimidating, pushes you without being overwhelming, and is consistently there for you - hands down, my workouts are the greatest exercise challenges I’ve ever faced, and ones I look forward to every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
